speed up booting ubuntu linux

i just make some practice that wanna speed up booting time my ubuntu 11.04

first..install preload
If your programs take much time to open, you can use Preload, which is a utility capable of making your programs open rapidly. Preload is available in the official Ubuntu repository, you can install it via your web browser by accessing directly this link, or launch the terminal and issue this command:

sudo apt-get install preload

Once installed, you don't have to start Preload or even configure it. Preload loads your programs by using your computer installed RAM (Preload only uses 10% of your RAM) to increase program execution speed. For better system stability and performance, it is recommended that you have at least 1GB of RAM.

After testing this utility, I have noticed a significance increase in speed when launching some programs like GIMP.

Using All CPU Cores During The System Booting Process
If you have a multi-core processor, then follow these instructions:

- Via the Terminal edit this file:
sudo gedit /etc/init.d/rc

- Locate this line:
CONCURRENCY=none

And replace it with this line:
CONCURRENCY=shell

Removing Unnecessary Packages
Via the Terminal, run this command:

sudo apt-get purge brltty-x11 min12xxw brltty ttf-indic-fonts-core ttf-kacst-one ttf-khmeros-core ttf-lao ttf-punjabi-fonts ttf-unfonts-core foo2zjs

Disable unneeded services (I'm no expert on this section, try Googling for more info)

sudo apt-get install sysv-rc-conf sudo sysv-rc-conf

Thats all i know to speed up your booting n running ubuntu 11.04
what if u try it self..
just DIY [Do it Yourself]
Keep sharing n open your mind..hehehe
